Giving trees branch out this Christmas
Newbury Building Society is dreaming of a wonderful response to projects that will help to ensure a happier Christmas for some of our area’s less fortunate children. Giving Trees will appear in a number of the Society’s branches this year, hoping to better last year’s amazing response.
Head over to their Basingstoke branch in Festival Place until Monday 21 December and leave a gift under the tree. The Breeze Radio team and members of staff from the Society will be utilising their wrapping skills for the final day of donations.
The Breeze team are also supporting the Society’s Andover appeal, in aid of Naomi House, a hospice for children and young people. Presents must be received no later than close of play on Friday 18 December.
Meanwhile, the Society’s Wokingham branch is also taking part in an annual appeal which saw thousands of presents donated for children last year. People wishing to donate can pick up a tag in branch, purchase a present and return the gift, unwrapped, to a member of staff. Please ensure the branch receives your donation by Tuesday 15 December.
The Society is also supporting the West Berkshire Toy Appeal. Its Newbury branch is accepting unwrapped toys, gifts and games suitable for children of any age. If you can’t make it to the Newbury branch, there are also drop-off points in the Society’s Thatcham and Hungerford branches. The appeal is run by Swift Couriers and presents must be received no later than Friday 18 December.
To make a donation, simply visit any of the branches mentioned with your gifts. All gifts should be new and left unwrapped. For more information about what the Society supports visit www.newbury.co.uk. You can also follow the Society on Twitter and Facebook by searching for NewburyBS.
