Junior ISA (JISA)
A long term tax free savings account introduced by the government to encourage parents to save for their child's future. There is an annual subscription limit. For the tax year 6 April 2016 - 5 April 2017, your allowance is £4,080 for cash and/or stocks and shares.
You can continue to choose how to split your annual allowance as you wish. For example, all cash, or all stocks and shares, or split between the two.
