Roles in our branches
There are no roles available in our branches at the moment. Please check back another time.
We believe in keeping things simple and transparent, because finding a job can be stressful enough!
Here's what you can expect when you apply for a role with us.
Found a role that you want to go for? The first step is to click 'apply' at the bottom of the job advert.
You'll be redirected to one of our recruitment partner websites, Ultimate Banking or JIYU Consulting, depending on the type of role you're applying for.
Simply click 'apply' and fill in the details required. You'll also need to upload a CV, so make sure yours is up-to-date!
A recruiter will call you for a chat about your skills, experience, why you want to apply for the job, and if we could be a good fit for each other.
If you pass screening, we’ll invite you to an interview. Beforehand, we’ll send you an email with everything you need to know, including examples of the kinds of questions we might ask so you can prepare.
Second Interviews
You might have a second interview, depending on the role. This could involve a task, short presentation, or chance to show off some job-specific skills. It’s a great way for us to get to know you better, and for you to get a better feel for us, too!
Feedback
Regardless of outcome, we’ll always share feedback. If you’d like more detail, feel free to ask us directly.
Additional support
If there's anything we can do to support you during the interview process, including making reasonable adjustments, please let us know.
Congratulations! If you reach this stage, you're only a few steps away from joing the Society.
Once you accept your offer of employment, we'll need to run some pre-employment checks. Our friendly HR Team will keep you updated every step of the way.
It's normal to have lots of questions when applying for a new job - here are some of the ones we get asked frequently.
Our head office
Our modern, spacious head office in Newbury is designed with our people in mind. There's space for collaboration and creativity, as well as independent work. It's spacious, modern, and has great on-site facilities.
Our branch network
Our ten branches in Berkshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire are the beating heart of the Society, where members can engage face-to-face with our friendly, expert teams. We're currently working on a programme of branch refurbishments, creating modern, light, comfortable spaces for our members and our employees - keep an eye on our News and Knowledge page or our social media to find out more.
Many of our roles are hybrid, allowing you to spend part of the week in the office and part of the week at home as agreed with your line manager. If a role is able to be hybrid, it will be clearly listed in the role advert on our website.
Job scams are on the rise. We'll only ask for your personal information through our authorised recruitment partners (JIYU Consulting and Ultimate Banking) or through our application forms, and we'll never ask you to pay for anything during the recruitment process.
We only advertise roles via our recruitment partners, our website, and our own social media channels. If you're unsure whether a job advert is legitimate, please email our HR Team.
We're committed to ensuring our recruitment and interview process is as accessible, fair, and transparent as possible. Job adverts specify the criteria for application, deadlines for submission and interview, and provide an outline of interview duration and format.
If you need any additional support, clarification, or reasonable adjustments at any stage during the interview process, please do not hesitate to let us know: hr@newbury.co.uk. We're always happy to discuss how we can accommodate you and your needs.
