If you wish to do this, you will need to book an appointment with one of our mortgage advisers. You can book an appointment here.
Your mortgage may allow you to make overpayments up to a certain amount in each 12-month period, without being charged. This is your annual overpayments allowance.

After making your overpayment
Once you have made your payment, please contact us by email or call 01635 555700 to advise how you would like us to process your overpayment (e.g. reducing your monthly payments or mortgage term, or to advise no changes).
Please note we will not automatically recalculate your payments and will only make amendments if the overpayment is greater than £1,000. We need at least 14 days before your next Direct Debit to make sure we can amend your payment in time.
Your overpayment will be credited to your account on the date of receipt; however, we will not automatically confirm we have received your payment.
If you simply want to know how much you have got left to pay off your mortgage, the best way is to request a balance outstanding confirmation.
This will give you an idea about how much you have left to pay and if there are any fees that you may need to pay. Our Mortgage Support Team can help you with that (see contact details below).
At the end of your mortgage term:
We will write to you before your mortgage is due to be repaid explaining when and how to redeem (pay off) your mortgage.
You can also request a Redemption Statement (a statement detailing the amount to pay off your mortgage in full) by emailing the Mortgage Support Team or calling 01635 555700. If you are selling or remortgaging and have a solicitor acting for you, your solicitor will reach out to us to request the figure needed to repay your mortgage.
Your balance will change from month to month, so if you are considering paying off (redeeming) all or part of your mortgage, please let us know the date you wish to do this (the redemption date) so we can provide you with an accurate redemption statement figure.
If you are paying off your mortgage early, the Redemption Statement will show if there is an early repayment charge (ERC) due or a mortgage exit administration fee (MEAF).
Please note that we charge £25 per Redemption Statement if more than one is issued in any year.
Once the mortgage is repaid, we will confirm to you when the account is closed. If we have your property deeds, we will return these to you. We will also contact HM Land Registry to remove our charge on your property.
If you think you may have problems paying your mortgage it’s important to let us know as soon as possible so we can help you prevent mortgage payment arrears.
Our dedicated Payment Support Team are here to help you. You can contact them by calling 01635 555588 or emailing them. Contacting us doesn’t affect your credit report and the sooner you reach out for support; the more options may be available to you.
See our Payment Support section for more details and help available.
Each year we send you a mortgage statement which allows you to view all the payments you’ve made, and the fees and interest you’ve been charged on your mortgage. The statement also helps you to understand how much it could cost to pay off your mortgage, including any charges for early repayment. You may also request an interim statement at any point by emailing us.
Tax Statements are produced at the end of the financial year (April). If you have requested one from us beforehand, we will send you one automatically. Otherwise, you can email us and we can produce one for you upon request.
