Newbury Building Society's Design a Dream Home competition terms and conditions

  • Entries to the competition will be accepted from 9.00am on 1 July to 5.00pm on 4 October.

  • The overall winner of the competition will win a £50 voucher of their choice and have their drawing featured on the front cover of Newbury Building Society's 2025 calendar. The winner's drawing, first name, and age will also be featured within the calendar on a month of Newbury Building Society's choosing. 

  • The 11 runners-up will win a £25 Waterstones voucher and have their drawing, first name, and age featured within the calendar on a month of Newbury Building Society's choosing. 

  • The winner and 11 runners-up will be notified via the contact email address provided. 

  • The competition can be entered online via our website, or in branch using a paper entry form. Multiple entries from the same person whether submitted online or offline will not be considered.

  • The competition is open to those aged 16 and under. Entrants under the age of 16 must have permission from their parent or guardian to enter.

  • Entries on behalf of another person and joint submissions are not accepted.

  • No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical reason.

  • The winner and 11 runners-up will be chosen by a panel of judges from Newbury Building Society. The judges' decision is final.

  • The winner and 11 runners-up will be contacted via the email address provided when entering. If aged under 16, this must be the contact email address of a parent or guardian.

  • The vouchers for the winner and 11 runners-up will be issued as an e-voucher and delivered to the contact email address provided on entry.

  • The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

  • Newbury Building Society accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered because of entering the competition or accepting the prize.

  • We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other applicable data protection legislation as described in our privacy policy and in accordance with data protection legislation. A copy of the privacy policy can be found in branch and online.

  • By entering the competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage, and distribution of your personal information to process and contact you about your entry. All personal data provided will be destroyed once the winner has received their prize.

  • The overall winner and 11 runners-up will have their first name and photograph published on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and on the Newbury Building Society website with the winners' consent to do so, or their parent/guardian’s consent if under the age of 16.

  • Any personal information you provide to us for this competition will solely be used for the purpose of this competition. For non-finalists, personal information will be destroyed as soon as the winners are announced. For the winner and 11 highly commended, your entry form will be destroyed after 6 years.

  • If you wish to withdraw your consent, you will be able to do so at any time by:

  • Entrants into the prize draw shall be deemed to have read and accepted the terms and conditions. If aged under 16, the parent or guardian of the entrant shall be deemed to have read and accepted the competition terms and conditions on behalf of the entrant.
