Mortgages
No two mortgages are the same, so we try to reflect their uniqueness in the way we do things:

We lend up to the age of 90 across our entire standard mortgage range.

As a mutual (an organisation owned by its members, instead of shareholders), you have a say in how we do things, and we strive to build long-term relationships with our customers that deliver excellent outcomes. It must be working, because some of our current members have been with us since the 1980s!
Whether at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), our Member Forum, or our Member Talk events, we want to hear your ideas, share our plans, and listen to what we can improve.
Mutuality also means that we're always seeking ways to make things better for you. Sometimes that's through things we can do locally (see the community section below), or via ideas like our free NBS Rewards discount scheme, which offers customers great savings on day-to-day spending.

We want to make the areas that our members live and work in healthier and happier. That's why we're actively involved in our local communities through schemes our like Community Support Scheme, Charity Partnerships, and financial education sessions for primary and secondary schools.
We also get involved in a a range of fundraising, sponsorship, and volunteering activities throughout Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire. Re-investing a portion of our profits in this way is one of the things that makes us different from a bank.
We’re extremely proud of our roots as a traditional, high street building society. We're continuing to invest in our branches so they’re more comfortable, modern places to visit and work as part of our 'bricks and clicks' ethos. But that doesn’t mean we’re not looking to the future!
