Last Community Support Scheme of 2023 sees local charities receive £3,245

We are extremely pleased to have been able to donate a total of £3,245 to local organisations throughout our branch network in our final round of this year's Community Support Scheme.

The Community Support Scheme offers funding to organisations in and around our ten branch towns. Applications are open four times each year, and typical grant amounts range from £100-£500. In 2023's final round, we have been able to award £3,245 to 7 worthy organisations.

All Yours Period Box provide period boxes to women and girls in our local communities who struggle to access or afford period products. Our donation of £500 will go towards the charity's product education sessions project, aiming to deliver sessions to 8 primary schools and 3 secondary schools in West Berkshire.

We are delighted to receive a donation from Newbury Building Society for our period education project. It is fantastic that they recognise the importance of this piece of work and actively support it.

Newbury and Thatcham Green Gym are delighted to receive a very generous donation from the Community Support Scheme. This means that we can purchase equipment to enable us to help restore local heathland, benefiting the species that are found there. Whilst working with the new equipment, our volunteers will be contributing to their health and well-being and improving the environment for the wider community to access.
