Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in January 2021 as a Customer Service Adviser in Wokingham branch. I was then offered the opportunity to join the Intermediary team for 12 months on a secondment. Once the secondment came to an end, I took up the role of Multiskilled Customer Support Adviser helping in other departments such as Underwriting and Completions. I am now back full-time as an Intermediary Sales Adviser.
I learn something new every day. The knowledge within the Intermediary team allows us to have a more flexible approach on each scenario, with customer service being a purpose we focus on highly.
Roles and responsibilities
My role is to take enquiries in the form of emails, live chats, and Decisions in Principle (DIPs) to see if we can help make the case work or just to run through criteria. The communication with brokers allows me to identify new relationships for our BDMs.
