Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in January 2018 having previously worked as the Facilities Manager at Camp Hopson Department Store for 18 years. I am a member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management).
Having worked for the Society since 2018 I lead the Facilities Team in providing a safe, efficient and professional environment for our employees to work in and for our members to visit. I really enjoy supporting the business operations from “behind the scenes” and assisting the Society to achieve its core objectives.
Role and responsibilities
My role is to maintain the fabric of the Society’s premises, liaising with landlords, local authorities, contractors and internal staff. I also ensure the Society remains compliant from both a regulatory and health & safety perspective.
