Background and experience

I joined Newbury Building Society in May 2022 after 14 years in product and marketing roles at Nationwide Building Society. I’ve had the opportunity to work across unsecured and secured product ranges, with more recent experience of leading member engagement and communications teams. 

Role and responsibilities

I lead the sales, marketing, and branch teams, who do a fantastic job across such a broad range of activities. In terms of sales, we’re responsible for intermediaries and broker introduced mortgages, product and pricing recommendations, as well as direct mortgage and savings volumes. On the marketing side we could be running an event, managing the website, communicating with our members and employees, or driving forward some of our social investment and community initiatives. Regarding branches, we have 10 dedicated and customer focused teams serving customers in -person each day across Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire and I try to spend as much time in the branches as I can.
