Background and experience
I joined the Society in 1998 and have worked my way from within the branch network, having carried out many operational and sales roles. I was promoted to Sales Manager in March 2016, which was rewarding after many years of underwriting experience and building a comprehensive understanding of the needs of both the customer and intermediary alike.
The Society is fair to its employees and recognises the hard work that individuals put into making the organisation a success. As a senior manager, it's great to be given the opportunity to feed into different departments and help influence some of the key decisions made.
Role and responsibilities
I lead the Intermediary Sales Advisers and our team of BDM's. The team is responsible for generating 80% of the Society's annual mortgage business through brokers throughout England and Wales.
I look after the relationships with networks and clubs and give mortgage advice to direct customers. My role is to deliver exceptional service to brokers and customers, promoting our cliche lending, creating business opportunities and forming positive buisness relations. I work closely with the Marketing and Product Teams to ensure we deliver good customer outcomes and our proposition in the market remains competitive.
No two days are the same, from complex DIP’s to manning live chat when needed. I’m happy to support the team in whichever way possible.
